Hilton Garden Inn Bolingbrook I-55

Literally, the worst customer service on the planet. I have never experienced/witnessed so much disrespect from a hotel in my entire life. Do not book wedding events at this hotel. If you a person of color just know the disrespect starts at the door. Out of the entire staff the only people in that building that have some type of mannerisms are the banquet hall workers (not the managers of them). Ali and his fellow teammates were amazingly understanding, helpful and moved with precision. Superior of the building- disrespectful Bartender during the wedding- disrespectful Honesty DO NOT BOOK YOUR WEDDING HERE. Once they have your money, they will treat you how they want to treat you rather than how you should be treated for your big day.

Disheartened to say this was the WORST stay I have ever experienced!!!! I loved every Hilton brand until this experience. As a Hilton employee and a Gold member, the general manager Zaki Basalath should not be in hospitality. I booked a two night stay for November 11th. Upon rising Saturday morning, I noticed a roach on the wall. I immediately grabbed my belongings and headed to the front desk. I asked for the general manager. Once Zaki Basalath arrived, I informed him of the roach and showed him the pictures. I advised I was uncomfortable and told him I was unsure if I wanted to continue my stay. He literally told me he did not believe me or the pictures I showed. I asked him to clarify because I did not understand. He stated the manner would be discussed with my manager in an email. I told him this has nothing to do with a manager and I am on personal time. I told him the pictures are time stamped and he can come upstairs with me. He declined. I asked to be compensated, he refused. He never apologized or tried to remedy the situation. He told the front desk representative to check me out. He then proceeded to call law enforcement because he was embarrassed his property has roaches. Not once did I raise my voice or use any foul language. I am not sure if it was prejudgment or if it was his upbringing. I have stayed in Adventura, Florida, Los Angeles, Texas, and many other luxury Hilton brands. I have NEVER been treated the way I was this weekend. I will NEVER book this property ever again!! I will make sure everyone I know is informed about this property and the piss poor behavior of Zaki Balasath. The owners should be ashamed to let him represent their establishment! I have attached the photos. I will save the video from embarrassing him further. I may take further action on the business end.

DO NOT BOOK HERE! Especially for a wedding room block. The managers are rude and unhelpful, the service is awful. Nancy, the sales manager, was no help whatsoever. She was supposed to update us weekly on who booked in our room block and would never do it, the list was never updated. I had to eventually send a list of guest names to see who booked. They promised a year before that they’d leave the bar open for after the wedding as long as we had enough rooms booked for the bartender to make money. We had about 45 guests stay at the hotel. Two weeks before the wedding they said we’d have to pay $400 to keep the bar open. This didn’t include anything else. We had guests hear from the bartender on the day of that they were going to stay open and of course they didn’t. We packed our own coolers to have a night cap and the manager/worker at the front desk was so rude. He kept yelling at the guests for being on the carpeted area of the lobby? The rooms are disgusting and don’t have enough blankets. The rooms jacuzzi’s jets didn’t work. Then they charged us for the room we should’ve gotten for free because we had over 20 rooms booked for our wedding. I will be reaching out to higher management of the Hilton brand, because this was the worst experience as a bride trying to plan a wedding and accommodate 45 guests. This management needs a lot of work with customer service and basic manners.

This place was a joke. First room broken toilet. Okay things happen. Second room was filthy. Floor looked like someone had an accident on the floor or threw up. Walls had stuff on them. Leftover good food in the microwave and cigarettes on the microwave cabinet in a non smoking room. 3rd room was better but they didn't have a king room on the floor that my party was on so I was put in a Queen room which had a very slippery bath tub instead of a nice new walk in shower with sliding glass doors. Not impressed and won't be staying there every again. Do yourself a favor and stay across the street.

If you’re booking for a wedding party and require a shuttle, do NOT book here. They were not very accommodating regarding transportation so my sister had to rent out another company two days before her wedding. The coordinator shrugged it off saying that the maid of honor should be dealing with this. When we went to check in at the front desk, the person working there didn’t acknowledge me initially because he was busy counting coins. When he finally acknowledged me, he was very curt and rude. When interacting with my husband later in the evening, he became frustrated with the fact that we needed an additional key and rolled his eyes, uttering “Americans.” Finally, when we went to leave the following morning, housekeeping was rushing us out even though it was an hour and a half before check out time.
